He landed on his shoulder, was off work for six weeks, and the property's BOH safety audit produced a single recommendation: change the kitchen-floor degreaser. What R7 is
Diversey Taski R7 is a heavy-duty alkaline floor cleaner and degreaser — a built-alkaline system (typically a sodium-hydroxide or potassium-hydroxide base with sequestrants and surfactants) designed to saponify baked-on cooking grease, animal and vegetable oils, carbonised food residue and tyre-marks on industrial floors. Auto-scrubber and pressure-washer compatible. Diluted 1:5 for a deep clean down to 1:80 for daily mop-rounds.
It works hard. It is also one of the most expensive line items in any hotel main-kitchen housekeeping budget, and supply during peak banquet season is reliably unreliable.
What U7 does
UCLIPSE U7 Floor Cleaner & Degreaser is the same alkaline-degreaser class, manufactured at our Gurgaon plant. Active matter is in the 25 to 35 percent range. The surfactant package is rebuilt to rinse out completely under typical end-of-shift hose-down — that is the change that addresses the slip-film issue. We also dropped the foam profile lower than R7's baseline so the auto-scrubber recovery tank does not float-trip mid-pass.
